Next iPhone Display Resolution To Be 960×640 Pixels

According to SuperPhone.cz, the next iPhone screen resolution
has been confirmed to be of 960×640 pixels! The site claims
to have obtained a new iPhone display, magnified it through
a microscope and counted the RGB elements of the display.

The new resolution of 960×640 is twice the density compared to the actual iPhone which is only 480×320 pixels. In terms of Dots Per Inch this will convert in a value of 320, which is way bigger than any display on the market for these types of gadgets. This will confer a greatly improved graphical user experience, and will be very useful especially when browsing the Internet.

The rumors about this update where first heard in March, but today is a confirmed fact. The new display resolution allows backward compatibility with some of the existing apps for iPhone.
